Millions of rooftops in America are made of tar, and they absorb an enormous amount of heat during the summer months.

By coating black tar roofs with a white solar-reflective paint we immediately reduce temperatures inside and out. This low cost solution is a quick and easy way to cut carbon emissions, reduce our risk of ‘brown-outs’ and black outs, save millions in energy costs, and even save lives. We identify rooftops, organize volunteers to paint them, and build awareness in cities.

Our easy to read, easy to understand Do It Yourself packet has helped large companies across the United States paint their own white roofs, and we’ve been consulted by multiple cities from Chicago to Phoenix. They have modeled their own white roofing efforts partially on our program.
